New T'ai Chi Class beginning at Unity Atlanta Church on February 18
I have been fortunate to spend much of my life pursuing studies with many great teachers across disciplines including Chinese martial arts, dance and Asian performance forms, body-mind practices, and healing modalities. My undergraduate degree from Baldwin-Wallace University is in music and my graduate degree from The Ohio State University is in Somatic Studies, focusing on holistic and experiential learning.
I have been involved in athletics all of my life and played all of the sports that American boys play growing up. Following my son, I fell in love with soccer at age 37 and the game largely took over my life for 15 years. At 54 years of age (53 in the photo above) I am reluctantly transitioning from sports that are based in speed and explosion to those that are more endurance oriented, like trail running.
I view coaching, training, and teaching as the natural expression of being an infinitely curious and perpetual student. All of my interests and experiences meet in the worlds of fitness, performance training, and life improvement. Having the opportunity to work with people to help transform their lives and get the most out of the activities that they love is a great privilege. I approach my work with every part of my being and I ask the same of my clients.
